Requirements

Successful completion of pediatric residency program
Board eligible/Board certified
Unrestricted and active California Physician License
Current BLS, ACLS, CA DEA certification prior to start date

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of pediatric medical conditions, including chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and heart disease.
Round in nursery and attend growth-focused marketing events for clinics.
Conduct routine and preventive care visits, screenings, and wellness checks to promote long-term health and early detection of disease.
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and lab work.
Develop evidence-based, personalized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Manage a continuity panel of pediatric patients, ensuring appropriate follow-up and long-term care.
Document patient encounters, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Coordinate care with specialists, behavioral health professionals, and other providers as needed.
Participate in quality improvement efforts and initiatives tied to clinical performance metrics and value-based care goals.
Deliver culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate care tailored to Houston’s diverse community.
