Requirements

  • Medical Doctorate with current licensure.
  • Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.
  • Possess an interest in working with adolescents.
  • Uphold the Code of Ethics of their professional licensing entity.
  • Must complete the minimum hours of continuing education to maintain professional license.
  • Must maintain good standing with professional licensing board.
  • Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to all populations served.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community, and the general public.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
  • Adept in decision making responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments and provide treatment to our young clients.
  • Maintain flexible scheduled hours for clinic coverage, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Exceed productivity requirements as set by the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Develop and maintain clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols for pediatric care.
  • Be available by phone during scheduled hours for assistance.
  • Assist in the creation and review of patient education materials.
  • Supervise health care students for educational purposes.
  • Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance.
  • Supervise non-physician providers in pediatric treatment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, committees, and the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Interview and advise patients on health and illness prevention, including family planning services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
