About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Developmental Pediatrician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/ South Brooklyn Health (formerly Coney Island Hospital). The Child Developmental Clinic provides initial and follow-up services to about 300 patients referred each year, which is anticipated to increase with the NYC Care program and Foster Care / Kinship program. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College Of Osteopathic Medicine. Opportunity Details: The Child Developmental Clinic conducts evaluations by the Developmental Pediatrician, of children from birth to adolescence with known or suspected developmental delays They provide evaluation, follow-up appointments, prescriptions, referrals for speech, language, psychological, occupational and physiatry evaluations, and therapy

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics

Responsibilities

  • Conducts evaluations of children from birth to adolescence with known or suspected developmental delays
  • Provides evaluation
  • Provides follow-up appointments
  • Provides prescriptions
  • Provides referrals for speech, language, psychological, occupational and physiatry evaluations, and therapy

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $233,600 based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
