About The Position

WMCHealth is seeking a Pediatric Physician Assistant to join the Section of Pediatric Surgery at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. This is an exciting opportunity available to qualified Physician Assistants with excellent clinical decision making, exposure to quality-of-care measures, and strong procedural skills. The Physician Assistant will exclusively work at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital to cover operative cases, post op care, pediatric trauma and burn patients, and a growing outpatient pediatric surgery clinic. In collaboration with a physician, you will provide for the expansion of individualized pediatric healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.

Requirements

• Board certified and possess or be able to obtain a license in New York
• Minimum of one year in-hospital experience; however, exceptional new or recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Cover operative cases at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital
• Provide post-operative care for pediatric patients
• Manage pediatric trauma and burn patients
• Support a growing outpatient pediatric surgery clinic
• Collaborate with physicians to expand pediatric healthcare services
• Diagnose and treat acute or chronic health conditions in pediatric patients
