The Speech Language Pathologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is an important member of the healthcare team assisting with the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language, and feeding disorders. The position will include treating primarily pediatric patients in an outpatient setting, with specific patient care responsibilities and treatment assignments depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth. Excellent opportunities for continuing education and mentoring are offered. Training will be provided to the selected candidate. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the America Speech Pathology-Language-Hearing Association
  • Licensure or eligible for Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation within 30 days of date of entry into job

Nice To Haves

  • Feeding competency is a plus but not required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Evaluation
  • Provide a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients; develop & administer the plan of care consistent with area(s) of deficit; maintain appropriate records of activity and services provided.

  • Initiate referrals and convey recommendations to the appropriate resource; maintain records of activity and services provided.

  • Other duties as assigned
