About The Position

As an outpatient pediatric clinician, this role involves working with children from birth to age twenty-one. Teammates are dedicated to providing individualized one-to-one attention and customized plans of care to meet each child’s needs. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend sessions to facilitate the transfer of skills and home exercises into their child's daily life. The work environment fosters multi-disciplinary collaboration and mentorship, while allowing for clinician autonomy and growth tailored to individual passions and expertise. The position is for an outpatient pediatric therapist at Ivy Rehab for Kids, focusing on providing world-class care in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) services. Requirements

  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant AAS Degree or a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate
  • Current or pending licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant within Virginia
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work with children from birth to age twenty-one in an outpatient pediatric setting
  • Provide individualized one-to-one attention to patients
  • Develop and implement customized plans of care to meet children’s needs
  • Encourage and facilitate parent and caregiver attendance in sessions
  • Educate parents and caregivers on carrying skills and home exercises into their child's daily life
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration
