As a member of the Pediatric Emergency Department you will work at one of the top hospital-based social work department were your discipline is immensely respected. Work with and be a part of the multidisciplinary health care team in the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED). You will participate in comprehensive evaluations, provide psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention as well as discharge planning to pediatric/adolescent patients and their families. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department experience
  • Experience in providing direct clinical services to patients and families
  • Crisis related experience
  • Experience providing trauma support to children/adolescents and their families in an outpatient settings
  • Bereavement training/experience
  • Knowledge of child abuse (recognizing and reporting)
  • Resource connection
  • Fluency in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Work with and be a part of the multidisciplinary health care team in the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED).
