Pediatric School Nurse (RN)-Per Diem- Monmouth County
About The Position
Affirmed Home Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem opportunities in Monmouth County, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic school setting, ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and enjoy building meaningful, long-term relationships with students. We currently have immediate needs for substitute school nursing assignments throughout Monmouth County. In this role, you will support a variety of short-term and long-term school nurse requests, working with students across all age groups. Additional opportunities include one-on-one school nursing cases and bus run assignments.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Physical exam within the past 12 months
- PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
- Proof of MMR immunization within 10 years
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical exemption
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of pediatric nursing experience in home care or acute care preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform student health assessments and monitor ongoing conditions
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
- Collaborate and communicate with members of the student’s multidisciplinary care team
- Maintain and manage medical supplies and equipment
- Respond to and manage medical emergencies in a school setting
