About The Position

Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is where hope and healing meet. Our team of highly specialized physicians provides comprehensive care for children with fractures, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, scoliosis, spinal cord conditions, and spine injuries. We have an opportunity for a part-time night-shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit.

Requirements

• RN in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• 2 years' expereince in acute care nursing
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

• The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
• The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
• The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
