About The Position

The Division of Rheumatology at Inova LJ Murphy Children's Hospital in Fairfax, VA is recruiting a clinical physician for a full-time position. The ideal candidate would be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology and would be expected to provide exceptional clinical care to children with complex rheumatologic diseases in outpatient and inpatient settings, with opportunities to take part in resident education. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Medical Doctorate Program (MD/DO).
  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology.
  • Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association.
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain an unrestricted VA medical licensure.
  • Ability to obtain successful medical staff credentials at Inova's Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional clinical care to children with complex rheumatologic diseases in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participate in resident education.
  • Collaborate closely with the National Institutes of Health and the National Eye Institute in management of complex cases.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including a pediatric rheumatology nurse, clinical pharmacist, social worker, and access to PT/OT and state of the art radiology facilities.
