As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will administer a variety of therapeutic services and diagnostic tests to evaluate and care for our patients with respiratory insufficiencies and complexities. You will consult with the physician and provides instruction and medical direction to nursing and other staff members related to patient care and equipment necessary for respiratory care. The ACHC accredited hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for children (ages 0-21) and is the only inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma. This statute allows Bethany Children’s Health Center to refuse to hire an applicant or discharge an employee in a safety-sensitive position, who tests positive for marijuana even if the applicant or employee holds a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care
• School Clinical experience required
• Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care, with the understanding that you will pursue and obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials within 1 year of employment.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
• CPR Certification may be obtained upon hire
• PALS Certification may be obtained upon hire

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory
• Determines effectiveness of the therapy and works with interdisciplinary team members to develop the best care plan for the patient
• Communicates effectively to all interdisciplinary team members
