We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to utilize their license in a way that benefits the lives of patients, the community, and colleagues. This position is part-time, requiring 24 hours per week, with a night shift pay differential included. A new hire bonus of up to $22,500 is available to eligible external candidates, along with a relocation bonus of up to $10,000 based on location. The role requires working every 4th weekend and participating in bedside rounds as a patient advocate. The position is located at Riley Hospital for Children, where Respiratory Therapists evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, collaborating with nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists to ensure total customer happiness and support.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
  • Graduation from a CoARC accredited respiratory care program.
  • Pass the N.B.R.C. registry exam within 6 months of hire date (6 month requirement void if hire date is one year past graduation date).
  • Healthcare Provider Certification required; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with confidential patient information.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR.
