Pediatric Registered Nurse - Part Time
About The Position
The Kidz Club PPEC is seeking a passionate Pediatric Registered Nurse to join their team, empowering children to thrive through daily skilled nursing care. The Registered Nurse will manage the care of pediatric patients according to their individual needs and care plans, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. This role involves facilitating referrals to various healthcare providers and community resources. Key responsibilities include providing direct, holistic client care, addressing the educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental, and emotional needs of children and their families. The nurse will also educate clients and families on immediate care needs and preventative behaviors. The Kidz Club PPEC provides daily skilled nursing care for children from birth to under 21 years old who have medical complexities, fostering continuity of care through case management, skilled nursing, and enrichment. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure eligible in the state of Kentucky
- Recent graduate with a provisional RN license
- Basic personal computer skills and comfort with learning electronic charting systems
- Current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PPD)
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support)
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of current experience as a practicing RN with pediatric experience
Responsibilities
- Managing the care of pediatric patients, according to their individual needs and care plan using a multidisciplinary method
- Facilitating referrals to primary providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources
- Providing direct client care including a holistic approach to the care of children and their families, including educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental, and emotional care/needs of the child
- Educating the client and family regarding immediate care needs and preventative behaviors
