The Behavior Technician, under the supervision of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), is responsible for conducting individual and group treatment to assist children to develop maximum cognitive, social, self-help, communication and motor skills. The Behavior Technician will assist the BCBA, teachers and therapists in a variety of settings and work closely with parents and other professional staff. The Behavior Technician supports the Center and staff by helping to maintain a clean and hygienic environment and maintaining organization in the Pathways classroom and other areas. Assisting the BCBA with organization of data and individual children's programs is also a daily requirement. The Behavior Technician demonstrates leadership/management skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth. The Behavior Technician serves as a role model for the mission, vision and values of AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
