About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Pediatric Radiologist to join our nationally recognized healthcare system. This physician will provide high-quality pediatric imaging interpretation across multiple Shriners Children’s locations, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional, family-centered care. This provider will be responsible for interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, EOS, fluoroscopy, and DEXA imaging, with a strong emphasis on STAT and routine MSK imaging from both our inpatient and outpatient services. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation specialists, and advanced practice providers to guide diagnosis and treatment planning. This position entails a 1.0 FTE commitment with a M-F, 8-5 schedule with no overnight, weekend, holiday, or call expectations. This position is also designed to be a fully remote role, offering flexibility for physicians to work from their home location. Based on individual preference, operational needs, and space availability, there may also be opportunities to practice in an onsite or hybrid capacity at select Shriners Children’s locations. Candidates can expect to receive an annual salary between $494,936-$618,654 commensurate with experience, training and departmental equity.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Successful completion of a Pediatric Radiology fellowship
  • Minimum 1-3 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric radiology preferred; recent fellowship graduates will be considered based on training and clinical exposure
  • Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), with subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Radiology
  • Must possess eligibility for active and unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice
  • Must possess eligibility for active DEA
  • Must possess Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS for HCP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Credentialing and privileging by the medical staff in accordance with hospital bylaws
  • Advanced clinical knowledge of pediatric anatomy, pathology, and imaging protocols
  • Expertise in interpreting pediatric imaging across a full range of modalities
  • Familiarity with sedation and contrast guidelines in pediatric imaging
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey findings and collaborate with clinical teams
  • Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and other radiology information systems such as McKesson PACS and Powerscribe360
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team-based clinical environment
  • Commitment to continuing medical education and clinical best practices

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a wide array of pediatric imaging studies, including but not limited to radiography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, EOS, and DEXA imaging.
  • Ensure all imaging is performed in accordance with radiation safety protocols, with particular emphasis on minimizing exposure in pediatric population
  • Provide timely, accurate, and clinically relevant reports to referring providers
  • Consult with pediatricians, surgeons, and other subspecialists regarding imaging findings and appropriate study selection
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to collaborative treatment planning
  • Provide oversight for imaging technologists and ensure appropriate protocols are followed for pediatric patients
  • Maintain documentation and compliance in accordance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
  • Contribute to departmental quality assurance, peer review, and educational initiatives
  • Maintain accountability for meeting established productivity benchmarks (e.g. wRVUS), quality metrics, and institutional performance standards
