About The Position

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Division of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are seeking an early career, medicine-pediatrics trained, clinical investigator to join highly productive academic programs and expand our research program examining pathogenesis of bronchiectasis and other suppurative lung diseases in children and adults. This is an open rank faculty position for all tracks, fixed term, tenured/tenure track, and/or variable track. The candidate will work closely and collaborate with investigators at the Marsico Lung Institute and Center for Environmental Medicine, Asthma and Lung Biology. In addition, the candidate will provide transitional care for people with chronic lung diseases across the lifespan, and be central to development and oversight of a new Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit to accommodate the growing numbers of children with complex medical needs. The Divisions offer an exceptionally collaborative environment for the care of people with various respiratory diseases, provided at the University of North Carolina Hospitals and other sites in the state. The chosen applicant will be involved in the educational mission, teaching pulmonology fellows, residents, medical and other graduate students, and participate in other scholarly activities.
