About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This clinical child and adolescent psychologist will join a multidisciplinary Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in a nationally-ranked, freestanding children's hospital located on the medical school campus.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in a clinical psychology training program
  • Completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology
  • At least one of the training programs must have been APA-approved

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship-level training in pediatric psychology which includes the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with complex congenital heart disease

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and treatment of children and adolescents being seen in a large, multidisciplinary Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Serve as a member of the outpatient services team, conducting evaluations and short-term treatment of children and adolescents
  • Provide psychological treatment services to children recently discharged from the Psychiatry Inpatient Unit and Partial Hospitalization Program
  • Provide clinical supervision and seminar teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs
  • Research is encouraged
