Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) – Trach/Vent – Days or Nights – Broward County Pay: RN $33–$40/hr | LPN $25–$32/hr (based on acuity + experience) Schedule: 8/10/12-hour shifts | Days & Nights available | FT / PT / PRN Location: Broward County (Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Coral Springs, Sunrise) + nearby areas as needed Setting: 1:1 skilled pediatric care in the home (calm environment, consistent assignment) If you’re confident with pediatric trach + ventilator care and want a role where you’re supported, respected, and never alone—we’d love to meet you. At Family First Homecare, you’ll provide one-on-one skilled care in a home setting with 24/7 clinical + leadership support behind you.

Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license (state/compact where applicable)
  • Trach + ventilator experience required (pediatric preferred)
  • Current CPR/BLS (in-person skills check)
  • Background screening + onboarding health requirements (TB/Hep B as applicable)
  • Strong communication, reliability, and comfort working independently in the home
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs without an assisted lifting device
  • Frequent use of phone/computer for documentation and communication

Nice To Haves

  • G-tube/feeding pump experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, skilled pediatric trach and ventilator care in the home
  • Monitor respiratory status, respond to alarms, and follow the plan of care
  • Perform trach care, suctioning, pulse oximetry monitoring, and airway safety interventions
  • Support enteral feeding care as ordered (G-tube/feeding pump experience a plus)
  • Partner with families to keep the child comfortable, stable, and safe
  • Document on time and communicate changes to the nurse supervisor/clinical team
