We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and professional Pediatric Private Duty Nurses (LPN or RN) to join our home health agency in a Full-time, weekday capacity to provide care and support for clients in Muncie, Indiana and surrounding areas. Details: Immediate PDN care is needed for a pediatric (infant) client in Muncie, Indiana Full Time, Weekdays (40 hours/week) Requires experience with NG-tube care Mileage reimbursement between multiple clients is provided. Compensation (Weekly Pay): RN Hourly: $37 - $40 LPN Hourly: $28 - $30 Starting wage rates are based on experience, credentials, positive employment history & references, and overall fit. Position Summary Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of his/her professional organization and agency. All functions shall be performed in accordance with the established policies and practices and state Nurse Practice Act. The LPN/RN delivers care to clients as delegated by the RN Case Manager.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Indiana.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a home health or acute care setting or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of experience with infants and NG-tube care is required.
Active CPR and First Aid Certifications required (or can be obtained prior to hire date through our agency or accredited third parties).
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Current driver's license or state ID, and reliable transportation.
Desirable character traits: reliable, honest beyond reproach, professional, compassionate, detail-oriented (in care + documentation), accountable, friendly and accommodating, respectful, and positive.

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Communicates appropriate status/condition changes to the RN per agency guidelines.
Provides skilled nursing visits for clients as directed by the RN Case Manager.
Follows the care plan established by the Registered Nurse.
Recognizes and reports changes in client condition to the Case Manager and physician, as directed.
Communicates information on a timely basis, consistent with agency policy and urgency of the situation. Communication is verbal, as needed, and through complete and accurate documentation in the clinical record.
Scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, assessment of findings, medication monitoring and administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and nursing services within professional scope of practice and as delegated by the Case Manager. Individuals with the license designation of "LPN M-IV" may perform venipuncture for the purpose of obtaining blood samples for laboratory analysis.

Demonstrates knowledge of safety/infection control practices by compliance with policies and procedures.
Recognizes and responds appropriately to potentially unsafe situations.
Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Makes recommendations on improvement of safety.

Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Agency Quality Improvement Program and pertinent activities.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
