About The Position

Young Interventions, Inc. is currently seeking a pediatric Physical Therapist in Southern Santa Clara County specifically in the city of South San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister & surrounding areas. This position is available as a part-time or full-time opening in this area. Potential candidates should be available to work 20+ client hours per week, plus drive time between sessions. We are looking for qualified, motivated, energetic and creative therapy professionals to work with children in family homes to help implement personalized family focused treatment programs. Young Interventions, Inc. Programs focus on a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model to guide the family in helping their child reach their developmental milestones. Therapists need to have knowledge of and prior experience with implementing Parent Coaching within their treatment sessions. This position will require home visits within Southern Santa Clara County. These areas may include South San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister & surrounding areas. We do try to center your caseload around your preferred locations if possible. Most programming is in client homes, however, there may also be a need for virtual sessions when illness or special circumstances are present. With this in mind your caseload may have a mix of in-person and virtual services depending on client / family need or preference throughout their programming. Requirements

  • Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy, from a board approved educational institution
  • Current CA Board License
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working as a pediatric therapist (preferred)
  • Ability to speak and read fluently in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin is desired
  • Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in Early Intervention: understanding family systems, different diagnosis, intervention strategies, Parent Coaching Model, Routines-Based Intervention Model, resources, assessments, etc.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate clear and concise reports
  • Knowledge of the implementation and delivery of industry standard assessments
  • Attendance to Staff Meeting once a month at Gilroy, CA office required (NOTE: These meetings are currently being held virtually but may go back to in-person.)
  • Knowledge of MS Office computer programs.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License
  • Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day (within 30 mile radius)
  • Maintain current Vehicle Insurance & Registration
  • Maintain current CPR Certification (Infant, Child & Adult)
  • Have current TB

Nice To Haves
