About The Position

Our physiatry team is dedicated to both inpatient and outpatient services. A seasoned physiatrist and two nurse practitioners staff the inpatient unit. Patient populations include a wide variety of diagnoses that include TBI, SCI, general deconditioning, pain patients, post-op neurosurgical and orthopedic patients, and oncology patients to name a few. We take pride in our specialty inpatient programming that includes disorders of consciousness, post-op SDR and SCI optimization program. The inpatient program is supported by our own hospitalist team and specialists from Oklahoma Children’s Hospital that consult on our inpatients. The outpatient team is dedicated toward both general rehabilitation for underlying neurologic disorders as well as multidisciplinary specialty clinics. We have developed a strong clinical partnership with surrounding children’s hospitals that allows us to develop and staff multidisciplinary specialty clinics for spina bifida/spinal cord dysfunction patients, a TBI follow up clinic staffed with neuropsychology, movement disorders clinic, and brachial plexus clinic. The outpatient team includes nursing, case management, nurse coordinators for specialty programs, and social work. There is full-time orthotics support for our inpatient and outpatient population. We also provide a specialty equipment clinic to evaluate DME needs for our patient population. We are looking for an energetic pediatric physiatrist that has special interest in TBI follow up as well as neuro-oncology patients. We would support interest in an inpatient consultant as well as a general practice that would include tone management such ITB pump management and botulinum toxin injections. Interest in program development and desire to create programs is also encouraged and supported. Research interests and collaborations could be fostered with our in-house research staff as well as collaboration with the CP Research Network and International Pediatric Rehabilitation Collaborative.
