Serve as expert generalist in Developmental Pediatrics providing diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other disorders of development. This role involves medical evaluation of patients in the Feeding and Swallowing Program and offering comments and recommendations relative to the adequacy of equipment and personnel utilized in the Department. The position also includes recommending equipment needs, modernization, and assistance with input to capital budget projects. Additionally, the role requires providing consultative and advisory services to clinicians as requested, maintaining necessary and appropriate documentation for all services provided in compliance with regulatory and hospital policies, and providing on-call and/or clinic coverage as requested by the Department Chairman. Participation in scholarly activity and research is also expected, along with assuming responsibility and supervision of education programs for residents as it applies to the Department. The position includes responsibility for reviewing medical content of resident’s entries into the medical records and evaluating the clinical competence by the Chairman, as well as other departmental duties as assigned by the Chairman.
