About The Position

The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah is seeking a pathologist with training in the diagnosis, teaching, and clinical research of pediatric pathology. The position is needed to balance recent growth and retirements. Applicants with an interest in GI and liver pathology are particularly encouraged to apply as there is an ability to lead diagnostic and translational research efforts in this area. Opportunities and mentoring to develop other areas of expertise (surgical/oncologic, perinatal/autopsy, laboratory/ transfusion medicine) are also available. There is flexibility of service distribution depending on needs and interests. All faculty take clinical call (pathology and laboratory) on a rotating basis. Candidates must be certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology or equivalent and be eligible for certification in Pediatric Pathology or have equivalent training/experience. Candidates must also be eligible for medical licensure in Utah. Salary and rank will be based on training and experience.
