About The Position

Northwest Center Kids is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their Early Supports Team. This full-time position provides evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to children aged birth to three years old, addressing delays or concerns in motor, feeding, social-emotional, and sensory development. Services are delivered using evidence-based and relationship-based approaches, in children's homes, childcare, community settings, or via telemedicine. Providers collaborate with families, focusing on strengths, equity, and family priorities, and build family capacity through reflection, information sharing, and modeling. Northwest Center Kids supports staff with funding and time for ongoing professional development and has developed specialty early support programs including EPIC, feeding, Hospital-to-Home transition, CHERISH replication, infant mental health, and parent programming. The role offers opportunities for special interests, knowledge sharing, and reflective supervision within an experienced multidisciplinary team. A successful candidate is passionate about the whole child, culturally responsive, and works cooperatively with staff, families, and community partners. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the UFCW 3000 union.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, OTD, or equivalent
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Washington
  • NBCOT certified
  • At least one year of experience working in pediatrics or field work that includes a pediatric affiliation
  • Own car and insurance that meets state minimum insurance requirements
  • WA driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Early Supports or working a caseload, including clients aged birth to three experience preferred
  • Experience providing services in a non-English language
  • Feeding therapy experience
  • Infant mental health experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to children, birth to three years old, with delays or concerns with motor, feeding, social-emotional, and sensory development.
  • Utilize evidence and a relationship-based lens in providing services.
  • Serve children in their homes, childcare, and community settings in person or via telemedicine.
  • Collaborate with the families served, utilizing strengths and a relationship-based approach focused on equity and family priorities.
  • Build family capacity to support their child’s development and advocate for their needs through reflection, information sharing, and modeling.
  • Work cooperatively with staff, families, and community partners.
