It's what makes us stand out from the rest! Speech Tactics is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients, possess a passion for growth, and find purpose in serving children... PERIOD. The qualified candidate will be able to assess and diagnose a wide range of conditions, as well as develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical necessity.

Requirements

  • NC License and AOTA Certification
  • Excellent Communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, but not required
  • Opportunities for COTA supervision w/ Bonus Pay
  • Spanish fluency is a PLUS
  • At least (2) years of pediatric experience preferred, but NOT required
  • Early Childhood Intervention experience is a PLUS

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat clients within a multi-disciplinary clinical setting
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop effective individualized treatment plans for patients with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.
  • Develop home programs and provide parent education/coaching
  • Collaborate with OT, ST, PT, ABA, PYSCH, and parents/caregivers
  • Evaluate and assess patients' needs and abilities on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans and revise plans accordingly and as needed
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve the patient's quality of life
  • Instruct patients and families in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques, as needed
  • Provide education to families and caregivers on how to support the patient's progress.
