Medical Center East (MCE) South Tower, 1215 21st Ave South, Nashville, TN 37232 Schedule: Full-time PRN coverage February–June; flexible reduced hours after June. Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Pediatric Outpatient Occupational Therapist for Full-Time PRN coverage within our outpatient pediatric rehabilitation clinic. About the Role As a valued member of our pediatric team, you will: Focus on developmental, sensory, and academic needs. This role partners with the department of pediatric speech therapy. Work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), sensory processing challenges, and developmental delays. Provide specialized therapy services for children and adolescents, helping them achieve developmental milestones and improving daily living skills. Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients. Deliver evidence-based interventions to address fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and functional independence. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and goal achievement. Educate parents on home programs, adaptive strategies, and developmental support techniques. Requirements

Current Tennessee Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility).
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Minimum 1 year of experience with pediatric populations in outpatient or rehab settings.
Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for pediatric care.
Remove Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.
Collaborates with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum.
Applies appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluates performance to assess patient's progress towards goals.
Employs strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments.
