Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist – PRN Location: One Hundred Oaks: 719 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37204 Department: Pediatric Rehabilitation Services Schedule: PRN (As Needed) Job Summary: Vanderbilt Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Pediatric Rehabilitation Services team at One Hundred Oaks. This role provides high-quality, family-centered occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about pediatric care and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Tennessee Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain
  • BLS certification required
  • Pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Burn rehabilitation experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medically complex conditions
  • Provide outpatient pediatric occupational therapy services based on clinic needs
  • Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Educate and support patients and caregivers to promote carryover and long-term functional outcomes
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in accordance with hospital, state, and regulatory standards
  • Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum.
  • Applies appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluates performance to assess patient's progress towards goals.
  • Employs strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments.
