Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
  • Active occupational therapist license from the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy
  • Valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (LVP) or the ability to obtain clearance card
  • Experience or interest in early intervention and treating developmental disabilities
  • Passion for continuous learning and development of professional skills and knowledge
  • Positive and professional demeanor, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in feeding intervention is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Experience with AAC is a plus!
  • Bilingualism is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory, feeding, and other activities of daily living
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to address areas of need using evidenced-based approaches and individualized therapeutic strategies
  • Closely monitor and document progress, adjusting intervention as necessary to support optimal outcomes
  • Engage parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process, providing education and resources to support the client's progress and development
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals, including speech-language and physical therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care
  • Complete succinct documentation of services in a timely manner
  • Provide high-quality mentorship and supervision of students and assistants, as needed
