We are currently hiring for: Full-Time Mixed Community + Clinic based OT in the Centerville area and Anderson, SC (office, homes, preschools, early intervention)

Requirements

  • A current State of South Carolina professional license (SC LLR).
  • Graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
  • Knowledge and understanding of children’s developmental stages from ages 0-18 to properly analyze the growth, movement (motor), cognitive, and maturation process/transition between skill levels.
  • Previous pediatric experience is required through employment or clinical rotation.

  • Sensory & Feeding experience are a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate assessment and test results and medical background information to diagnose and create individualized treatment plans for fine motor, sensory regulation, visual motor/perceptual, feeding, daily living skills, and other related disorders.
  • Identify patients who could benefit from adaptive equipment or sensory regulation equipment and support family to obtain medically necessary equipment
  • Accept a variety of patients to treat various diagnoses, including more specific treatment/strategy techniques (deficits/delays related to sensory regulation, sensory-based feeding, executive functioning, emotional regulation, infants, etc..) and can treat with minimal oversight from leadership
  • Record therapy notes (SOAP), patient observations, evaluation reports, care plans (POCs), and discharge of clients
  • Instruct clients in techniques for more effective carryover of strategies and techniques.
  • Develop individualized occupational therapy exercise programs and home programs for families to implement, to maximize functional outcomes
  • Ensure regular communication with parents or caregivers and educate/instruct patients and family members in strategies to facilitate progress.
