About The Position

Nemours is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join their Media Team. Nemours Children's Health is an internationally recognized pediatric health system that serves over 1.7 million patient encounters annually across six states. The system includes two freestanding children’s hospitals and a network of more than 80 primary, urgent, and specialty care practices, along with over 40 hospital partnerships. Requirements

  • Active unrestricted Pennsylvania or compact state RN and APRN licensure
  • Pennsylvania prescriptive authority (CSR)
  • Pennsylvania DEA with a PA address
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Three years of related clinical experience
  • Excellent written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations
  • Formulating assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients
  • Communicating with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition
  • Educating parents/caregivers on patient condition and plan of care
  • Triaging and responding to phone calls from patient families
  • Accurately recording patient information in the electronic medical record
  • Work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
