As a member of the Outpatient Oncology team, the APP's focus is providing care for patients with a variety of oncologic disease processes. This includes but is not limited to the treatment of solid tumors, such as sarcomas, bone tumors and kidney tumors, leukemias, lymphomas, and additional oncology diagnoses. The APP will be a part of a team of providers and nurses, providing direct patient management which includes evaluating patients in the clinic, ordering/interpreting laboratory tests, developing differential diagnoses, and implementing plans of care. The Oncology APP is expected to work effectively with the medical team by communicating clearly with families, working well with physicians, being a resource to nursing staff, and collaborating with multiple subspecialties within the Hem/Onc Division. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for patient care, teamwork, and enthusiasm to grow their advanced practice career caring for the pediatric oncology population.
