About The Position

Requirements

  • Current LPN or RN license in New York.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric nursing.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Medent and Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Medical Office (outpatient) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments.
  • Assist with patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • As a Triage Nurse (RN only), recognize emergencies and inform appropriate medical provider; react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Interview and take patient history as needed to provide appropriate consultation and advice, scheduling patient appointments according to urgency and severity of concern.
  • Maintain the patient's medical record including triage notes, lab review follow up, prescription management, Prior Authorization review and medical notes.
  • Convey lab results and medical information to patients at provider's request.
  • Review and complete medical forms as requested by patients.
