About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seek a Pediatric Nephrologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will practice pediatric nephrology and will join our nephrology team of three others, including a pediatric nephrologist, one advanced practice provider, and a nurse coordinator. Additionally, the group has the support of a dietitian, pharmacist, and psychologist. Our team manages inpatient and outpatient dialysis of all forms, runs our ambulatory blood pressure monitoring program, and performs renal biopsies. The group is also closely aligned with our US News and World Report top-50 pediatric urology program. The peds nephrology team has collegial relationships with the neonatologists, hospitalists, and intensivists. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license.
  • Successful candidate must have completed pediatric residency program, as well as pediatric nephrology fellowship program.
  • Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
