Join Our Team: We are searching for a Medical Assistant for our Watson Pediatrics office located at 9580 Watson Road! Clinical candidates with prior experience working with children are preferred. Opportunity: Full-time opening Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This position also shares in rotating coverage of a Saturday morning shift No nights or holidays Outpatient clinical practice Day-to-Day:
Requirements
- Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CPR Certification
- PC/Windows proficiency
- Medical coding familiarity
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
- Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical candidates with prior experience working with children are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform back office functions
- Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
- Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
