About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Behavioral Health Director, the Pediatric LICSW’s function is to provide assessment, consultation, case management, behavior health treatment and resource acquisition to patients, clients, parents/guardians referred by the providers. This position is responsible for providing social work/mental health services to patients needing medical, financial and general life-style assistance; interviews patients/clients individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems to determine what services are required to meet their needs; and provides appropriate case management, counseling, referral, and follow-up services for patients.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Massachusetts state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is required.
  • At least 2 years post LICSW experience in pediatric social work.
  • Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credential organizations.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information and finger printing to work in the SBHC if needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle as some transportation may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • Community health or clinical background preferred.
