About The Position

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. "The Heart of Our Community" provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. Pediatric LICSW Summary: Under the general supervision of the Behavioral Health Director, the Pediatric LICSW's function is to provide assessment, consultation, case management, behavior health treatment and resource acquisition to patients, clients, parents/guardians referred by the providers. This position is responsible for providing social work/mental health services to patients needing medical, financial and general life-style assistance; interviews patients/clients individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems to determine what services are required to meet their needs; and provides appropriate case management, counseling, referral, and follow-up services for patients.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Massachusetts state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is required.
  • At least 2 years post LICSW experience in pediatric social work.
  • Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credential organizations.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information and finger printing to work in the SBHC if needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle as some transportation may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • Community health or clinical background preferred.
