The Pediatric Liaison Nurse is responsible for ensuing compliance with Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) standards and the EDAP agreement reference no. 312. The Pediatric Liaison Nurse will manage all policies and procedures established by the EMS agency in partnership with the EDAP Medical Director, the Pediatric Liaison Nurse will oversee the EDAP QI program and act as a liaison between associates, providers and administrative staff who are involved with the provision of solid evidence based pediatric care.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience working in pediatrics or in an ED that provides care for pediatric patients within the previous 5 years.
  • Demonstrated competence in leading adult & pediatric codes.
  • Completion of a 2-day pediatric emergency course within 90 days of hire
  • Completion of 7 hours of pediatric continuing education approved by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) within 90 days of hire
  • Outstanding communication & mentoring skills
  • Strong independent time management skills
  • Intermediate computer skills required.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Instructor preferred.
  • Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred
  • Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) preferred
