About The Position

To plan, implement and evaluate the provision of high-quality medical care, with appropriate resource management, to children and adolescents in the respective clinical area. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine, located in Atlanta, Georgia, are actively seeking a full-time pediatric interventional radiologist to join our growing Interventional Radiology (IR) practice. With five full-time pediatric IR faculty positions, three IR advanced practice providers and a dedicated outpatient pediatric IR clinic staffed with a dedicated IR clinic nurse, our practice is one of the most robust IR practices in the U.S. focused solely on the care of children and adolescents. We also oversee a dedicated pediatric interventional radiology fellowship—non-Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), with one fellow per year. Radiology Services at Children's • Children’s is one of the largest pediatric radiology programs in the country, performing more than 300,000 imaging tests each year. We cover nearly 800 inpatient beds across two hospitals, Scottish Rite and our new Arthur M. Blank Hospital. • We operate five IR suites (three bi-plane units and two single-plane units) daily. • Our practice has a dedicated pediatric-trained anesthesia team at both hospitals daily. • In addition to a dedicated IR outpatient clinic, we also participate in one of the largest multidisciplinary vascular anomalies clinics in the country, with more than 1000 new patient referrals in 2025. Our practice performs more than 500 sclerotherapy procedures per year for these patients. Why Children’s? Requirements

American Board of Radiology (ABR)-certified or board-eligible
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited residency or fellowship in interventional radiology
Graduate of an accredited, four-year medical school.
Graduate of an accredited, post-graduate residency program in Radiology.
Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Interventional/ Diagnostic Radiology.
Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Radiology.
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
BLS or PALS certification required.
Current DEA registration.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member.
Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Professional Staff.
Demonstrates the following skills in accomplishing job duties and responsibilities: personal organization and time management, human relations and teamwork, personal adaptability, personal motivation, and listening.

Nice To Haves

with additional subspecialty certification in pediatric interventional radiology preferred
Experience in respective clinical area.

Responsibilities

Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children’s policies and procedures.
Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making.
Provides an authenticated report of all physician services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
Completes necessary documentation and ensures timely communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
Actively responds to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete, and maintain certification in BLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
Performs other responsibilities as required.
