About The Position

Dayton Children's Hospital, in collaboration with Nationwide Children's hospital in Columbus, OH, seeks a fellowship-trained Pediatric Interventional Radiologist who is motivated to build a clinically excellent IR program at Dayton Children's. This position is an on-site role located in Dayton, OH. We encourage applications from experienced as well as newly trained pediatric IR physicians. Dayton Children's maintains a level 1 Trauma Center and has a Level 1 CSV verified surgical program. The hospital has 186 beds and an employed professional faculty of over 260 representing over 40 medical and surgical specialties. It is a free-standing children's hospital, is affiliated with the nearby Boonshoft School of Medicine, and provides training to a broad range of residents and fellows. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated practitioner, comfortable in performing both routine interventional services and higher-level trauma-related procedures, such as angiography and embolization care. Dayton Children's has an existing relationship with the large adult IR physician group that provides IR services for the nearby adult hospital system and who participate in trauma IR call coverage at the children's hospital. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with this group, if desired, to gain additional experience and expertise in the most advanced IR procedures. The candidate will also have access to NCH educational resources such as sub-specialty conferences, interdepartmental collaboration, and didactic lectures. IR call is taken from home in a typical frequency of 10-15 nights/month. Additional compensation is provided for call beyond 10 days/month.
