JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Cleveland, OH • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: March 16, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM • On-Call Shift Schedule: Inpatient consult call, TBD • Call Type: Beeper COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage beginning March 16, 2026 • Minimum commitment of one week per month PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics • Admissions: Consult service • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: Complex infections, immunocompromised patients, transplant-related infections FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: Level I • Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty pediatric services • Support Staff Available: Nursing and ancillary clinical staff • Reason for Coverage: Ongoing locum coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • IMLC Accepted: Yes • NPDB Self-Query Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Pediatric infectious disease consultations • Management of complex and transplant-related infections • Antibiotic stewardship oversight
Requirements
- Active Ohio medical license or ability to obtain via IMLC
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease
- Active DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required
- Fellowship-trained pediatric infectious disease physician

- Academic hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric infectious disease inpatient consultations
- Manage complex infectious diseases in immunocompromised and transplant patients
- Participate in antibiotic stewardship initiatives
- Collaborate with infection prevention teams
- Engage in teaching and case review within an academic children’s hospital
