Career growth and development Diverse and collaborative working environment Affordable and comprehensive benefits package including Tuition Reimbursement Job Summary: The goal of the Pediatric ICU Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is to promote the safe and effective use of medications by working collaboratively with prescribers and the multidisciplinary health care team. This position contributes to the goals of the department by providing safe medication therapy within defined practice areas. Responsibilities include the complete assessment, recommendation, and monitoring of pharmacotherapy for specific patients ensuring that the highest quality and evidence-based standards for pharmacy practice are met. Along with other members of the health care team, this role is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Pediatrics or relevant specialty OR Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and 2 years hospital experience with pediatric patients OR 4 years hospital experience with pediatric patients
  • Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Florida required. Must be obtained prior to start date.
  • Demonstrates high level of skills related to teamwork, organization, and prioritization of workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • PALS certification preferred. Must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • BCPPS or relevant specialty board certification preferred. Must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
