About The Position

Pediatrix is offering a unique opportunity for a BC/BE pediatrician to join a flourishing practice at the brand new, state-of-the-art Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY. With approximately 1,400 deliveries a year, the pediatric hospitalists provides coverage for the newborn nursery. 8-bed pediatric unit coverage and emergency department consultations. Medical students and family medicine residents education. No delivery attendance or NICU coverage. Great work-life balance with week-on / week-off schedule. Call from home. Pediatric service is supported by pediatric-trained speech, occupational, and physical therapists, pediatric-certified echo techs, and lactation consultants. Neonatology consultations available in house with other pediatric sub-specialties available for consults at tertiary center in nearby city. Full or part-time positions available.

Requirements

• Board certified/board eligible in pediatrics.
• Applicants who require visa sponsorship are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for the newborn nursery.
• Cover 8-bed pediatric unit and provide emergency department consultations.
• Educate medical students and family medicine residents.
• Maintain a week-on / week-off schedule with call from home.
