About The Position

Seattle Children's is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to join our integrated regional care team in Olympia. This role is central to providing high-quality, coordinated medical care to our patients, working in close collaboration with attending physicians, nurses, subspecialty services, and the broader healthcare community. The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician provides expert medical care within their assigned service area, focusing on seamless and coordinated patient care.

Requirements

  • MD Degree.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children’s, and assigned medical center(s).
  • Licensed as a Physician in the State of Washington or State within WAMI region.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (Olympia, Skagit, St. Anne’s, Seattle Children’s NICU locations).
  • Federal DEA Registration.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire (only if required for special privileges).
  • Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.

  • Experience in pediatric emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct medical care and ensuring effective coordination of care for patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
  • Fostering strong collaboration with nursing, pediatric and other medical and surgical subspecialty services, community physicians, and ancillary health team providers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensuring the quality of all patient care and service, incorporating principles of patient-centered care and upholding rigorous quality standards.
  • Integrating services with Seattle Children's goals, vision, and philosophy.
