About The Position

The Pediatric Homecare Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Care Options for Kids provides specialized one-on-one care to pediatric patients in a home setting. This role emphasizes autonomy and the establishment of meaningful relationships with families, allowing nurses to utilize their clinical skills effectively while making a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.

Requirements

• Current, active Florida LPN license
• Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
• G-tube, trach, vent experience, or willing to train
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
• 1-Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)

Responsibilities

• Medication administration per physician orders
• Administer physician ordered treatments for nutrition via a feeding tube
• Provide tracheostomy care
• Perform suctioning - nasal, oral and/or endotracheal
• Conduct ventilation care
• Assess and treat seizures
