Pediatric Home Health Nurse - LPN / RN ~ South English
About The Position
Join Iowa Home Care as a Pediatric Staff Nurse, where you’ll provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to pediatric clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll follow physician-directed care plans, administer treatments, and work closely with a dedicated care team to support the health, safety, and well-being of each child in a familiar environment. This is a Monday - Friday position with hours of 8am - 4pm. You will be assisting client betweeen home and school with g-tube feeds and medication administion, siezure monitoring, applying orthotics, and overall assessments.
Requirements
- RN or LPN licensed in Iowa.
- Knowledge of nursing standards as set by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of pediatric experience in acute hospital or home health care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care according to the physician’s plan and established nursing standards.
- Conduct home visits and shifts, assessing client conditions, recording vitals, and noting any changes.
- Administer nursing procedures, manage medications, and provide treatments following physician orders and scope of practice.
- Promote a safe environment by educating families on home safety, infection control, and fall prevention.
- Maintain clear communication with the RN Case Manager and other team members to coordinate and enhance care quality.
- Document all care delivery accurately and in a timely manner.
- Train families in home care practices and collaborate creatively to meet care objectives.
