We are recruiting for an experienced senior level heart failure/transplant cardiologist with opportunity for a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond. The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, administration, program development and growth, team building, safety, quality and access for transplant services. This position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care. Close collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and various departments from UT Health and The University of Texas at Austin are expected and supported. Routine patient care will include: Outpatient clinic, inpatient consultation, supervision of advanced practice providers, and hospital service.

  • Eligible for faculty appointment at The University of Texas at Austin
  • Salary and academic rank commensurate with experience
  • Experience at higher volume centers and demonstrated leadership roles
  • Previous experience or education in medical administration
