The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Gastroenterologist join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. This position is full or part-time, 50%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Contact with vulnerable populations that are non-minors (does not pertain to physicians/providers who work with minors): This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), or Assistant Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division provides evaluation and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders and participates in clinical and translational research to help lead future practice. The GI and hepatology team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pediatric dieticians, and a pediatric health psychologist who help manage complex and chronic gastrointestinal diseases. This team offers care through outpatient clinics at UW Health Kids and hospital care at UW Health Kids American Family Children’s Hospital, as well as multiple sites across the region.
