About The Position

This position works directly with the Pediatric Epilepsy division and neurosurgery faculty, staff , and inter-department staff. This position is responsible for coordinating care points of pediatric epilepsy surgery patients including clinic visits, out- and inpatient tests (in conjunction with staff in involved departments) and pre- and postoperative care related to epilepsy surgery in collaborating institutes (Kennedy Krieger, Mount Washington, local providers, etc.). This position will also serve as a liaison between patients/families and faculty involved for the patients’ care while promoting successful and efficient patient experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Clinical experience required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted).
• Minimum three years of clinical Epilepsy or Neurology experience required.
• Experience with epilepsy and related complex medical conditions
• Must have authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship applicants will not be considered).
