About The Position

The Division of Otolaryngology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a pediatric otolaryngology surgeon with fellowship training in advanced otology or neurotology , extensive experience in pediatric otology , or a strong interest in pediatric otology to join our dynamic team. We are committed to providing exceptional care in a collaborative, supportive environment . The selected candidate will have an active clinical and surgical practice , as well as opportunities to teach otolaryngology residents and fellows . Additionally, they will play a key role in the Comprehensive Otology and Hearing Program , with clinical opportunities that include: Hearing loss and implantable devices, including cochlear implantation Chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma , and endoscopic ear surgery Balance disorders and lateral skull base surgery Future plans include: Development of an advanced pediatric otology fellowship Establishment of a state-of-the-art Temporal Bone and Lateral Skull Base Dissection Laboratory at the Children’s Mercy Research Institute (CMRI) to support clinical advancements, educational training, and research initiatives Opportunities for a mentored otology experience for interested candidates Candidates with research interests will receive strong institutional support from CMRI , a cutting-edge research facility dedicated to genomic medicine, precision therapeutics, population health, and healthcare innovation . The division prioritizes research collaboration and mentorship for faculty interested in advancing pediatric otolaryngology care.
