About The Position
Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist to work in the beautiful and historic Charleston, West Virginia area, serving children throughout the state. CAMC is a community-based, academic medical center and the largest hospital in southern West Virginia, providing care to a large area of the state and region. We are home to several graduate medical education programs, including a Pediatric Residency Program, and we support a large number of medical students for their clinical training. This position offers a leadership opportunity to grow and enhance our existing program in pediatric endocrinology. The role is based in a free-standing Children’s Hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology, pediatric-focused ancillary services, and dedicated resources to support the program. Clinically, the position includes both inpatient and ambulatory care, with a focus on developing a referral base throughout the region. The successful candidate will have protected time for teaching and program development, ensuring that they can contribute to the education of future healthcare providers while also providing high-quality care to patients. At CAMC, we are committed to providing life-changing and life-saving care to our community. Our pediatric services include a 30-bed General Pediatrics/Adolescent Unit, a 30-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 9-bed Level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center, and an Outpatient Subspecialty Clinic and General Pediatrics Practices on campus. We are also home to the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine Pediatric Residency Program with 21 residents, and we are a regional campus for the WVU School of Medicine and the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine.
